Branding, Logo & Print Design in Brighton
Brand identities designed to work everywhere your business shows up: On screen, on paper, on packaging and on the shop front. I'm Gary Simmons, a branding and logo designer in Brighton, creating identities, brochures, stationery and print for businesses across Sussex and the UK.
Branding & visual identity design
A brand is every decision a customer can see, made consistently. I design identities as systems rather than just logos: Marks, colour, typography and tone that hold together at every size, from a favicon to a fascia board. Whether you're starting from nothing or refreshing an identity that's outdated, I will create concepts and test them on the things your business actually prints, posts and hangs.
Logo & wordmark design
Distinctive, flexible marks designed to survive the real world: Tiny on a phone, huge on signage, and legible in one colour.
Full identity systems
Colour palettes, type pairings, layout rules and graphic language that make everything you produce feel like one coherent brand.
Brand guidelines
A practical guide your team and suppliers can follow, so the identity stays sharp and consistent long after handover.
Print design
Print is where brands earn trust you can touch, and it's unforgiving: No responsive breakpoints, no second deploy. I design print that reaches the press with bleed, colour profiles and paper stock already specified, and nothing for the printer to query.
Brochures & lookbooks
Editorial-quality layouts that give your products and projects the presentation they deserve.
Stationery & collateral
Business cards, letterheads, folders and the everyday pieces that quietly carry the brand.
Packaging & labels
Structural thinking plus shelf appeal, from first dieline to press-ready file.
Posters & campaigns
Promotional print that gets noticed and stays on-brand under deadline pressure.
Signage & environments
Fascias, window vinyl and interior graphics, designed with sightlines and materials in mind.
Menus & hospitality print
A specialism of the studio: design for hospitality and collateral for restaurants, cafes and bars that feel as good as the food.
Bring your brand online
An identity proves itself on your website, where most customers meet it first. Because I design brands and build websites, the two can be developed together: The identity informs the web design, and the practicalities of the web feed back into the identity before anything is locked in. For restaurants and cafes, the same system can flow straight into hospitality websites and menus.
Frequently asked
How much does a logo or brand identity cost?
It depends on scope: a logo refresh is a smaller project than a full identity with guidelines and collateral. Once the brief is clear the price is fixed, so you’ll know the number before we start. Tell me what you’re after via the contact page.
How much does brochure design cost?
It depends on the page count, whether the copy and photography are ready, and whether the brochure is a one-off or part of a wider identity. Once the brief is clear the price is fixed, so you’ll know the number before we start, and I can manage the print run as well. Tell me what you’re after via the contact page.
What's included in brand guidelines?
Logo usage and spacing, colour specifications for screen and print, typography, layout principles and tone of voice, plus examples of the identity applied. Practical enough that a printer or a new hire can use it without guessing.
Do we need a full rebrand, or a refresh?
Often a refresh: keeping the equity you’ve built while tightening what’s drifted. I’ll tell you which you need after seeing what you have, no upsell, and a refresh costs considerably less than starting over.
Can you handle printing as well as design?
Yes. I work with trusted UK printers and can manage the whole job from artwork to delivery, or supply press-ready files to your own supplier.
What do I receive at the end?
Every logo format you’ll realistically need (print, screen, single-colour), the guidelines, and organised source files. You own all of it outright.
