Scoffers
Scoffers is a free web app showing the best food and drink offers across Brighton & Hove, near you, right now. It brings together the best regular food and drink offers from Brighton & Hove’s independent restaurants, pubs, bars and cafés, and shows you what’s on near you, right now.
Lunch deals, 2-for-1s, happy hours, set menus, plus pop-ups and foodie events. Open it when you’re out and about in town and it’ll show you which offers are available nearby in real-time.
The Scoffers app is a personal project, originally launched in London in 2016 and re-launched in 2026 focusing on Brighton & Hove. I designed the UX and UI, my friend Leon built the backend, database and API to serve all the data.
Independent hospitality businesses are under huge pressure from rising costs, while diners are watching every penny. Scoffers is designed to help both sides. It gives independents an affordable way to promote their offers and get more people through the door, and gives locals an easy way to eat and drink out for less.
